Inward works fully without an account and collects nothing about you. This page says exactly what is kept where.
On your device
Everything you make in Inward is stored in this browser's or app's own storage:
- Lessons: name, colour and icon
- Sessions: which lesson, when and how long, and a note or test result if you added one
- Your week's plan
- Settings: your name, language, daily goal, look and reminders
Until you sign in, none of it leaves your device. Back it up to a file or erase it anytime in Settings → Data.
If you sign in
Signing in is optional and only there to sync your devices. Once you do, Inward's server keeps:
- Your phone number (or email, if you signed in with one)
- The same lessons, sessions, plan and settings as above; the look, vibration and reminders stay on each device
- Your devices: a name like “Chrome · Android”, when each signed in and when it was last seen
We don't sell this data, share it or use it for ads. Delete your account from Account in the app: the account, your number, your devices and all your data are erased from the server for good.
Signing in with Bale or Telegram
To sign in, Inward's bot in Bale or Telegram asks you to share your own contact. We take only your phone number from it, and the chat id only to check that the number is yours. The sign-in request is deleted a day later. We can't see your messages or contacts, and the bot messages you only to sign in.
No tracking
- No analytics, no ads, no third-party scripts or cookies
- Fonts and every other file come from Inward itself
- IP addresses are used only to limit sign-in attempts and are deleted within two days
- Codes, numbers and the contents of your data are never written to the server's logs
